Early 18th Century English Antique Black Glass Mallet Bottle, Circa 1720 wine
An exceptionally well-preserved English antique wine bottle of "mallet" form, circa 1720. With string rim, elongated neck and mallet shaped body with raised pontil/kick-up base beneath. A very minor frit to the string rim can be seen on close inspection. This does not detract from the bottle, which displays very well.
