WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. So here's a really early piece, which I would estimate to be from the mid-1700's and it might even be a little older than that. Not a pristine perfect one obviously; but it's in AMAZING, all original condition with no damage issues. Approximately 5 3/4 inches in height and 3x3 square.
Very crude, with lots of bubbles, uneven panels & shoulders, and it's also beautifully shaded. There is some internal staining; but if the new owner so chooses, I'm sure that it could be professionally tumbled out.But if I were holding on to it, I would simply leave it just as it is. I will also mention that there are a few threads / striations of dark glass wrapping around and passing through. I just wanted to make sure you're aware that those are not cracks. So if you're the type of collector who prefers their glass to be unaltered, then this one is exactly what you're looking for. What might appear in the photos, to be a kind of rust colored stain on the exterior surface, actually looks to be part of the glass itself. There is only a touch of very minor, minimal wear on the outside. If you saw this snuff in person, I'm sure you would be quite impressed with it. Between the regular listing photos and these enlargements below, I have provided 20 photos in total.
