Volupte 1929 Black / Ebony Glass Perfume Atomizer / Bottle with Fancy Gold Trim

  
The glass parts of this bottle were made by the Cambrige Glass Company. Black and Gold Decorated Atomizer.

This lovely perfume atomizer is in great shape. It even has an original label intact on the base. The gold is at least 98% intact and the glass part of this atomizer is in. Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.

The pretty metal parts are in great shape too. There is very little wear to the gold plating on the collar and top. The cord and ball have been replaced at some point in time.

This is an very nice example of a 1930s Deco Atomizer and would be a welcome addition to any collection. We picture an original 1929 Montgomery Ward Catalog Ad in our write up. The primary focus was vanity items. They are known for their early compacts, purses, and perfume items. This company, like DeVilbiss, bought glass bodies for perfume atomizers from various glass companies. Volupte did not make quite as many atomizers as DeVilbiss, but they did have quite a few in their product catalogs. These bottles are certainly a perfume collectbile in their own right. Many of their bottles are very DECO and well made. This company was a major competitor of The DeVilbiss Manufactoring Company of Toledo, Ohio. The Volupte hardware for these bottles is distinctive and can be attributed only to Volupte.
