Wow LE Correia Art Deco Black Silver Blue Iridescent Glass Perfume Bottle

  

This limited edition art glass perfume bottle was created by American artist Steven Correia in 1987 and is numbered 4 of 250. It is comprised of sand carved glass over crystal. The perfume vessel itself is cobalt cased sommerso style black an silver stripes. The bottle stands 5-1/2 " 13.3 cm tall with the dauber / stopper inserted and measures 3" (7.6 cm) across.

The pieces (bottle and dauber) are in excellent condition without chips, flea bites, or scratches. It has been signed on the base "Correia PBELAC 4/250 1987 LE". Correia Art Glass was founded in 1973 and Steven is one of the founding fathers of the studio art glass revival that took place around that time.

Correia glass is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Corning Museum and the Chrysler Museum of Art. It is also included in the art holdings of the White House. The first four photographs are of the item as it was rotated.
