Here's a crude early open pontil case gin bottle from the 1770s or 1780s Colonial Period... Free blown with paddled sides or hand blown in a tapered dip mold, so there are no mold seams.... Sharp open pontil scar on sunken bottom which has a cross embossed...

Crude drippy applied ring collar.... Tapered square case gin with crude "footed" base.....

Sparkling attic nice condition with no chips, cracks or damage... A great looking Colonial Period blackglass case gin bottle!
