19th C. JEWELED GILT FILAGREE OVER BLACK OPAQUE GLASS SCENT / PERFUME BOTTLE

  

This listing is for a beautiful antique jeweled gilt filagree on black opaque glass scent bottle decorated with ruby? Measures 2 1/4" high, 1 1/2" wide and 1/2 deep. This lovely scent bottle is a made of black opaque glass with the bottle decorated with a wide pierced openwork filagree design with a bright gilded finish on the front and has a ruby cabachon stone in the center.

The matching screw-on lid has an elaborate and intricate design with smaller ruby cabachon on top and glass dauber. There is also a gilt filagree band around the sides and bottom as well as around the top of the stopper. This lovely scent bottle is believed to be French and dates from the late 1800's to early 1900's.

The glass body and filagree decoration are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
