1790's English Rum Black Glass Mallet Bottle from an unknown shipwreck. It's black when not in direct sunlight, but you can see a green/amber color when held up to direct sunlight.
It was found in an estate with a bunch of other bottles that were told to be from a shipwreck, from which one I have no idea. You can make out beautiful swirls all over the glass. Tons of bubbles throughout the glass. It stands about 9 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide. It isn't uniform so that could very a little bit. There is a chip on the lip of the bottle as can be seen in the photos. It looks like it might be historic though as there are some concretion imbedded in part of it. There are no other chips or cracks I can see. Please look at the photos carefully as they form a large part of the description. Please feel free to ask any questions or for more photos.
