C1850 ANTIQUE 19thC FRENCH BLACK GILDED GLASS SILVER & GOLD PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE. An exquisite antique French cut glass scent bottle, with two-tone silver and solid gold hinged lid and decoration. Dating to the mid 19th Century, circa 1850. The black glass scent bottle is beautifully painted in gold and silver gilding.

It is set with a solid gold hinged lid with silver collar, the silver hallmarked with the Boar's Head. Mark in use from 1838, and a makers mark. Hinged gold lid (not silver gilt, but solid gold), which reveals the original glass stopper. Cm or 3 3/4 inches.

Gross Weight: 86.9 grams. In good antique condition, without damage or restoration, only expected age related wear to the gilded decoration to the glass, and a chip to the glass stopper.
