Fantastic and monumental nearly 13 inch tall by 5.5 inch diameter deep olive black glass Painted label apothecary bottle! Likely made in Bristol England in the early 19th century, this bottle is a deep olive green, reminiscent of Keene, New Hampshire, but bears a polished mouth, laid on string lip, and no evident pontil to the dimpled base. Likely broken off the Ponto rod at the mouth, and later refired before the string lip was attached, the bottle appears to be a mold piece with a fine Latin painted label.
