THIS DUTCH BULBOUS ONION IS GETTING HARD TO FIND IN GOOD CONDITION, AND THIS PARTICULAR ONE IS IN GREAT CONDITION. IT IS CIRCA EARLY 1700-20, AND IS A TRUE DUTCH ONION WINE, AND WAS AN OCEAN FOUND OFF AN OUT ISLAND IN THE FLORIDA KEYS, BACK IN THE 1960'S. THERE NO BRUISES, FLASHES, STAINS, DINGS, POT STONES, OR CRACKS.
IT DOES HAVE ENTRAPPED BUBBLES, SOME SPOTTY ROLL MARKS, SOME INTERIOR HAZE, AND WHITTLE THROUGHOUT, THAT GIVES THIS WINNER REAL CHARACTER. THIS SMALLER THAN THAN NORMAL FULL SIZE BEAUTY STANDS ONLY 6 1/2" HIGH FROM THE OUT OF ROUND, 5 1/4" ACROSS, BIG BLOWPIPE PONTILED AND DEEPLY INDENTED BASE, UP TO THE HAND FASHIONED, THICK OVERLAPPING STRING LIP, AS SHOWN. SURE WOULD LIKE TO LOOK THIS GOOD AT 300+ YEARS OLD.
IT'S REALLY A WINNER. The item "FLA KEYS SHIPWRECK FIND PONTILED BULBOUS 1700'S BLACK GLASS DUTCH ONION" is in sale since Sunday, October 25, 2020.
