THIS CIRCA EARLY 1840'S TRUE BELGIAN BELL, FAT NECK MALLET, WAS FOUND IN THE OCEAN OFF THE FLORIDA KEYS, BACK IN THE 1960'S, AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE NO BRUISES, FLASHES, STAINS, ABRASIONS, OR CRACKS. IT DOES HAVE ENTRAPPED BUBBLES, SOME SUSPENDED PARTICLES FROM MANUFACTURE, MINI ROUGHNESS TO THE LIP, AND WHITTLE THROUGHOUT, THAT GIVES THIS WINNER REAL CHARACTER.
THIS LARGER THAN LIFE BEAUTY STANDS 9 1/8" HIGH FROM THE OUT OF ROUND, 4 5/8" ACROSS, BIG DEEPLY INDENTED, BLOWPIPE PONTILED BASE, UP TO THE HAND FASHIONED, OVERLAPPING STRING LIP. SURE WOULD LIKE TO LOOK THIS GOOD AT ALMOST 200 YEARS OLD.
