THIS CIRCA 1700'S TRUE COLONIAL BLACK GLASS UTILITY CYLINDER, WAS FOUND ON AN ISLAND IN THE FLORIDA KEYS, BACK IN THE 1960'S, AND IS IN EXCELLENT DUG CONDITION. THERE NO BRUISES, FLASHES, STAINS, POT STONES, ABRASIONS, OR CRACKS. IT DOES HAVE ENTRAPPED BUBBLES, SOME SPARSE LITE SCRATCHES, INTERIOR DIRT STILL THERE, AND WHITTLE THROUGHOUT, THAT GIVES THIS WINNER REAL CHARACTER. THE ONLY THING THE DIGGER DID WAS RINSE THE OUTSIDE WITH WATER. THIS BEAUTY STANDS 6 7/8" HIGH FROM THE OUT OF ROUND, 3 3/8" ACROSS, BIG SMOOTH, SAND PONTILED AND DEEPLY INDENTED BASE, UP TO THE HAND FASHIONED, THICK TAPERED WITH DRIPPY COLLAR LIP.
SURE WOULD LIKE TO LOOK THIS GOOD AT 300+ YEARS OLD. IT'S REALLY A WINNER.
