Founded in 1950, it is a glass processing industry that follows the tradition of Shiina Glass Processing Plant. The brother's grandfather, Mitsuo Shiina, is familiar with all kinds of glass processing, including Edo Kiriko. His father and second generation Yasuo Shiina is a craftsman of "Hirakiriko", who has only about 10 people in Japan. And Yasuyuki Shiina, the third generation craftsman, is good at "sandblasting", and as a result of refining his technique, he can surely draw up to a fine line of 0.09 mm. GLASS-LAB is exploring new possibilities for Edo Kiriko by combining the two technologies.
This work is a design by our company GLASS-LAB Co. Designed by design shop YU Yueko Fujita, a designer matched by Tokyo handicrafts sponsored by Tokyo.
