This is a gorgeous, RARE, large sized, Karl Palda Original, Art Deco Czech Black Enamel & Etched & Paneled, Perfume Bottle circa 1930's. It measures: 5 3/4" High with the stopper in place and 3 3/4" high without the stopper in.
It is 4 1/8 at the widest diameter of the bottle. It has 12 panels, making the shape. There is a very hard to find, Karl Palda perfume bottle. It is paneled all the way around the bottle and the stopper, there is black enameling'arrow/V' shapes, in the center of each etched/engraved double'V' design that go around the bottle.
The condition is wonderful, with no loss of the black enamel and no damage to the bottle or stopper, seen. Please see all pics, as they are part of the description. Here is some info about Karl Palda:' T.
He firm of Karl Palda was founded in 1888 in Novy Bor (northern Czech republic) and quickly became the largest firm in the neighborhood. Apart from the Novy Bor glassworks it had 2 other workshops, one in Arnultovice and one in Chotovice, together supplying jobs for over 100 workers. The company produced tableware and decorative glass adorned by cutting, engraving and painting.Red and black enamel were the most used colors in Karl Paldas designs. The firm cooperated closely with glass schools and other manufacturers and were well-respected refiners and exporters of high quality glassware.
