Absolutely stunning English Mallet from the early to mid 18. This mallet puts others to shame, its one of the nicest Ive seen. There are bubbles on top of bubbles with 100% original shiny glass surface. Aide from a very minor ¼ internal spider check (see pic 6) that bottle is essentially perfect.
The ping mark can only be seen when backlit on the right angle and does not break the surface (interior of the bottle onlyits subtle). This beast is slightly larger than an average mallet at H 93/9 x W 4 78.
The lip is flawless and there are no cracks, chips of flakes. The base has a prehistoric looking kick-up with a sand pontil. When backlit from a window this one has no equal! Color is a yellowish olive amber. Breathtaking bubbly mallet in unbelievable condition thats almost 300 years old! Last 2 pictures are for comparison only.
