Rare Crystal Cut Black Amethyst. Perfect Valentine's Day Gift Idea?? Here we have a genuine Black Amethyst cut crystal glass perfume bottle of the classic Art Deco form. The intricate details adorning this beauty are stunning, from all sides, front to back. Front and back display extensive.

Deeply cut crystal, including feet or base areas. Backside displays a profusion of cut crystal in a diamond point pattern, adding fabulous reflective shine. The stopper is cut translucent amethyst glass; it's clear cut pontil hand ground & fits the neck opening nicely. On the bottom we clearly read an acid-etched signature: "Made in Czechoslovakia". We've been in antiques business over 40 yrs & never seen anything close to this unique Art Deco Amethyst parfume bottle.

Nothing close in terms of likeness, presence, drama, scale, flair, nor intricate mass of exquisite hand crafted bronze & jeweled encrusted flowers, after an intensive internet search. Elaborately jeweled, ornate hand designed & applied bronze florals with various colored jewels are displayed throughout front & top of shoulders. Green stones plus various other colorfully simulated jewels, plus two (2) pearls are featured on the front. Each is centered within the most elaborate garniature of 17 custom created bronze florals covering the front & shoulders. Artistically fashioned Art Deco classic angled cut straight lines.

Cut feet designs repeat on backside w/design cuts to shoulders & back especially. Study photos carefully: these are intentional design cuts. Displays an elaborate "V" shape design w/ 6 rows of deep, reflective diamond point cuts plus dramatic, long, double angled straight cuts that wrap edges of top "shoulders". Stopper: 2 2/8" height x 1 7/8" wide. Bottle: 3 7/8" at widest width x 4 1/4" feet to top of bottle, w/out stopper.

Total height w/stopper in place is a tall 6 inches. Overall approx 4" wide x 6" tall = BIG drama.

Weight: approx 8 oz, 1/2 lb. Very, very good considering its age. Mentioned here for the sake of total disclosure yet does not detract from bottle's beauty, a tiniest superficial flake & a few obscure flea bites are found (if hunted for) atop "shoulder" area. Otherwise, no other issues seen after a careful inspection. Overall, this amazing bottle is in fine condition & displays beautifully!

Fan shaped amethyst cut glass wavy stopper is a translucent purple. "Guerlaine Paris" is enscribed in gold. Minor loss to bottom of "G"; still easily read.

Its frosted clear glass pontil has a minor flake; unseen sitting inside bottle. Never seen an Antique Art Deco Parfume Bottle quite this scale of elaborate bronze floral work. Its really a knockout any collector would love. We've enjoyed this piece sitting in a lighted etagere display case, front & center for decades, unhandled.

New to market, possibly one of a kind, specially created for a very special woman or perhaps a parfume shop window display?
