This bottle came from a collection that had been packed away in the late 1990s from a well known dealer. Who review was that the black glass was very rare, and never seen as far as she knew. Sterlings tops and mountings, opens in the middle and will stand like a pair of binoculars as you can see in the pics, circa 1890.
One end screws off and one end has a very tight and well working flip cap. Interestingly enough there are no silver markings, and I have not tested the bottle, but it would be very unusual to have a bottle of this quality not have sterlings fittings but sterling is NOT guaranteed. There are initials on the cap ends, a beautiful script I believe is "V" and "F". There are dents to the end but they do not impact functionality of the caps.
The black glass is a beautiful tapered glass, there is no damage to this bottle, you may find some minuscule pin flecks off a few edges, not worth mentioning. The bottles measures 5" laying down and 2.5" standing. The middle closure works very well and tight, it simply fits together. Don't miss out on this amazing piece of perfume rarity!
