A very rare and desirable black glass wine bottle, circa 1720. This is absolutely one of the nicest bottles of this rare form! Wonderful early squat form with beautiful large scroll handle. Exceptional condition with normal hand blown glass characteristics, some minor outside wear, heavy base wear and a very tiny prick (smaller than the size of a small pin head) on the edge of the lip.
(note there are several reflections in glass as photos were taken outdoors). Deep olive amber (mostly olive), but appears jet black in reflected light. Please be patient when inquiring or ordering. I can only access the internet about twice a week and get to the post office about once a week.
