TRANSITIONAL BLACK GLASS BOTTLE-Very Odd Lip-Mallet-1780s-1800. Offered is a selection consisting of one vintage Transitional Period Black Glass Whiskey bottle dating between 1780s and 1800 or so.
1-An 8 5/8 tall, black glass liquor bottle, appearing to be free blown, a very large unusual crudely applied wedge style lip. Color could be described as a medium greenish moss brown. Bottom has a kickup, refired pontil, slight bell bottlom base, leans to one side, with a crooked neck. Appears to be a sea recovery, has some scratching on outside, a small old chip on the underside of sloppy lip.A very crude early transitional mallet style bottle.
